OnePass is an alternative way of quickly signing in without needing to use passwords or verification codes. This technology lets you use digital access keys when signing in to your VK profile as well as internal and external VK services.
You can learn more about the benefits of using OnePass
here.
The keys are stored on your device or the Apple ID or Google ID cloud storage. They can be used both for a single device (for example, an integrated fingerprint scanner) or a device family (a single key for Apple or Google devices).
The available types depend on the platform:
• iOS: only cloud OnePass keys (Face ID and Touch ID)
• Android: only cloud OnePass keys (Android Fingerprint)
• Desktop version: cloud keys (scanning a QR code with an Apple or Google device), keys on the current device (for example, by using an integrated fingerprint scanner) or keys on an external USB, NFC or Bluetooth device.
• PC: Google Chrome and Safari versions 16 or higher, Firefox versions 114 or higher
• Smartphones: Android devices versions 9 and up (if Google Play is available), iOS devices versions 16 or higher
You can use up to 10 keys simultaneously. To add a new key, do the following:
1. Open the Security section in Account Settings VK ID.
2. Press OnePass in the Sign-in methods section. The name of the new key will be generated automatically.
In the OnePass section you can view the list of the currently active keys, edit them or delete the ones that are no longer relevant. To edit the keys, do the following:
1. Press the three dots icon to the right of the desired key.
2. Select Rename or Delete.
3. Confirm your phone number.
If needed, you can always easily switch to the default authorization method. To completely disable this feature, delete all added keys.
Important: If you successfully restore access to your profile, all keys will be reset.
