Interesting content can always be found in the news feed: enlightening articles, new episodes of that funny show you like to watch, gift ideas and unusual recipes. At some point, you might want to read through an article more thoroughly, re-watch a video, or cook up that dish you found. Wouldn’t it be great if you could have all of these things in one place?
Now you can save interesting posts, articles, videos, important links and other content in the completely new VK Bookmarks. If you found something that sparks your curiosity but don’t have the time to go through it right now, save it for later so that you can give it the attention it deserves.
To add content to your bookmarks, you need to click the star symbol or “Save to Bookmarks” in a post’s menu. Now this saved content will only be a click away. The new section is available in the fifth tab in the mobile apps and on the left menu of the desktop version.
Don’t worry about posts or photos that earned your “like” being left behind. You can find them all in the “Liked” tab of your news feed. Go right on ahead and hit that like button without worrying that you’ll mess up the order of your bookmarks.
Only you can see the content that you’ve saved in Bookmarks. Of course, you can easily share something with your friends or publish it in a community whenever you want.
In Bookmarks, everything is streamlined and each type of content, be it posts, articles, podcasts, videos, links or products, ends up in its own category. You can also add profiles and communities to your bookmarks, which will be displayed in a separate “Pages” block.
Create your own tags and find what you need in seconds. “Party ideas”, “Read later”, “School”, “Cute cats” — collect your saved posts into full collections. By tapping on a tag, you’ll see all of the content you’ve marked with it.
Just like all the rest of your saved content, your collections are completely private. No one but you can see them.
It would be impossible to remember everything you added to your bookmarks, so we will send you notifications from time to time to remind you about some content you saved a few days ago but haven’t looked at yet.
Save content to Bookmarks to easily come back to it later. Everything that caught your eye will now be neatly sorted, right at your fingertips. You can check it out right now in the new VK app for Android or iOS.
