Nearly half of democracies have regressed on basic rights in 2020 with measures to combat COVID-19 pandemic: Many governments are restricting information about COVID-19, clamping down on independent media and freedom of speech while polarisation and lack of political consensus have sparked unrest and distrust in elections and democratic processes.
So sad. And counterproductive, I hope. Jealousy, incompetence, and similar are usually behind this kind of complaint by the colleagues:
"Raoult, Perronne and four other doctors targeted by a complaint from the French National Council of the College of Physicians. In question, the comments they have made since the start of the Covid-19 epidemic, on hydroxychloroquine or the government's crisis management."
What's happening with “herd immunity” is a blatant example and a bitter truth of a science denial in 2020. By whom? By WHO, its generous sponsor(s), and obedient followers. Appalling!

Covid-19: politicisation, “corruption,” and suppression of science: “Politicisation of science was enthusiastically deployed by some of history’s worst autocrats and dictators, and it is now regrettably commonplace in democracies. The medical-political complex tends towards suppression of science to aggrandise and enrich those in power. And, as the powerful become more successful, richer, and further intoxicated with power, the inconvenient truths of science are suppressed. When good science is suppressed, people die.”

Can Medicine Be Cured?: The Corruption of a Profession (2/2019): Seamus O'Mahony writes about the illusion of progress, the notion that more and more diseases can be 'conquered' ad infinitum. He punctures the idiocy of consumerism, the idea that healthcare can be endlessly adapted to the wishes of individuals.
He excoriates the claims of Big Science, the spending of vast sums on research follies like the Human Genome Project. And he highlights one of the most dangerous errors of industrialized medicine: an over-reliance on metrics, and a neglect of things that can't easily be measured, like compassion.

The COVID-19 syndemic is not global: context matters:

Misinterpretation VIRUS II by Dr. Stefan Lanka – Beginning and End of the Corona Crisis: The definition of SARS and Corona or COVID-19 states that atypical pneumonia is regarded as the disease characterising symptom. If known pathogens can be proven with pneumonia, it is characterised as a typical pneumonia, if not, then as atypical. The defining factor of SARS, Corona ‘virus’ and at least 20%-30% of all pneumonias is they are atypical. The causes for atypical pneumonias are well known and should not be claimed to be because of an unknown virus.
What do HONEST SCIENTISTS say about covid-19 and the pandemic?
The fiasco of evidence-based medicine exposed by the Covid-19 pandemic: "Empirical evidence, like GPS, is a great tool, but only a fool would take his eyes of the road and trust the maps blindly. People that have done it are known to have fallen off precipices and it is our view that this is what has happened during this pandemic: while searching for non-existent evidence we allowed ourselves to take decisions that drove us off a precipice and we have without doubt seen that the so called cure has been worse than the disease itself. Let us all take a deep breath, recognize the missteps, and return to traditional medical reasoning and practice, which remain the basis of an authentic person-centered healthcare."

Throughout 2020, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube have been censoring, suppressing, and flagging any coronavirus-related information that goes against WHO recommendations as a matter of policy, just as «Event 201» had recommended. Big tech COVID-19 surveillance data & censorship threaten privacy & free speech:
As both the guardian of data and gatekeeper of information, big tech can easily be tempted towards tyranny with its dominance over the flow of information through search, news, and social media.
A population cannot make informed decisions when all the information is controlled by a few companies in Silicon Valley or else it risks trading a republic for an un-elected technocracy.
What will become of the COVID-19 data once the pandemic is over and how long will big tech continue to censor those that go against its rules, even when they speak truth to power?
The future is being determined now.
YouTube's CEO suggested content that 'goes against' WHO guidance on the coronavirus will get banned (23 April 2020): In the interview for CNN, she says the online video giant is focused on "raising authoritative information," like videos from news sources, and removing information that is false and "medically unsubstantiated." She also discusses the "acceleration of our digital lives" brought on by the pandemic.
