'Non-essential' travel outside borders banned (22/1-21): Belgium, concerned about the contagiousness of the British variant of coronavirus, has decided to ban "non-essential" travel to and from its territory - including within the Schengen area - for the whole of February.
Prosecutions for non-wearing masks declared unconstitutional by Brussels police court (21/1-21): A thunderbolt at the Brussels police court on 12 January: a judge acquitted a man summoned before the court for failing to wear his mask in public spaces last August. The reason? The measure is considered unconstitutional, no more and no less.
Mechelen residents will soon regain their freedom in Nekkerhal: "People yearn for that vaccine" (13/1-21) — "Here we regain our freedom." The illuminated advertising at the entrance to the Nekkerhal in Mechelen nicely summarizes what the coming months will be all about. Tuesday morning the construction of the vaccination center has already started here. As soon as sufficient vaccines are available, up to 1,500 people can be injected here every day. There is also interest from other municipalities.
What a captivating interview with Michel Weber, Belgian teacher and philosopher, who’s recently published a book on Covid-1984!!! I highly recommend it to everybody understanding French!!!
La crise de la Covid-19 n'est pas sanitaire, mais politique, et aucune des mesures liberticides n’est fondée scientifiquement ; par contre, la Covid-19 rend évidente la corruption complète du corps politique et de ses appendices médiatiques et scientifiques.
Cette corruption reflète la crise du capitalisme industriel financier (annoncée dès 1972), et la volonté des oligarques de détruire la démocratie représentative.
Le système politique qui se met en place est bien totalitaire, c’est-à-dire que toutes les facettes de la vie des citoyens seront pilotées par une structure idéologique mortifère ne différenciant plus les sphères privées et publiques. Ce totalitarisme sera fasciste, sanitaire et numérique.

A seriously troubling news: "Flemish Education Minister Weyts will spend 375 million: "Every student from the fifth grade will get a laptop":
Yap, it's historic indeed, but not from the obvious or the right reason. It might only sound or appear that “Flemish education is finally entering the digital age”.
To put it this way: If this initiative aims solely to be an extension of contact education in the classrooms, this is indeed a fantastic initiative. However, if every child will receive a laptop because it is intended to provide only distance learning for the foreseeable future, this initiative is nothing but a preparation for a dark future ahead.
The Belgian Minister of Health recognized (on 30/11-20) that the closure of shops was more psychological than anything else, he admitted that this measure had no health interest and was decided only to terrorize the population. Hmmm ... do you really think it's a whole lot different with masks and all the rest? One of the comments of the below info on Facebook.

HUNDREDS OF BELGIAN DOCS PUSH BACK: A new open letter with nearly 13,000 signatories, including doctors and medically-trained professionals in Belgium, is gaining major traction. Using science-based data showing the previous lockdown was unjustified, the letter refutes further attempts to reapply the same measures.

The current crisis management has become totally disproportionate and causes more damage than it does any good. We call for an end to all measures and ask for an immediate restoration of our normal democratic governance and legal structures and of all our civil liberties.»
